Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my two favorite men: my husband Michael and my Daddy! I love them both and am so grateful for them on this special day! We shared a few laughs in the backyard while taking Father's Day pictures and I love both their smiles in this picture below. They make me so happy :)

To my Michael, you are AMAZING!! I love you so much and am so grateful for the man that you are. These last few months have been challenging being pregnant and you have gone above and beyond helping me around the house. I love the little things you do for me every day. You gently kiss me good bye before going to work. You fill my water bottle with ice-water every night before bed. You patiently wait for me every evening so we can read scriptures together and pray. You help me in and out of bed when it is just too difficult to get up on my own. You make me laugh and smile when you do goofy things, though sometimes you don't always catch me in the best mood :) Keep being the man that you are Michael because you are amazing and I can't wait to see you first interact with our son in just a couple of weeks. You're going to be the best dad <3 I LOVE YOU!

To my Father, I love you! You have been there for me throughout my entire life and I am proud to call you my dad. Thank you for being such a great example of a priesthood holder and father in the home. I have always appreciated your counsel and guidance in my life. Thank you for teaching me to do hard things, to have faith through trials, to smile and serve others. Thank you for playing sport and board games with me over the years. Thank you for letting my little family stay with you for a few months while we went house hunting and giving us the opportunity to start off on a better foot. You are amazing dad and have made so many sacrifices to allow me to live and grow! I love you dad and can't wait to start calling you grandpa soon! :) Happy Father's Day.

  2. Thanks Amanda for your kind words. I appreciate the woman you have become! Its funny, as a parent you start off thinking that you are the teacher and your kids are the students. However, I have learned so much from you. Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see you now as a parent - teaching your children. You have so much to give and teach.
