We moved out to Oregon after graduation so Michael could start full time with Intel Corporation in Hillsboro. He loves it there so far and it's fun to be back where we first met. We're excited to be working in Oregon but we will miss our college years at BYU in Provo, Utah. This is Michael on his first day of work, what a stud! I am so proud of him. He didn't quite finish his thesis before leaving BYU but he worked on finishing it up once we moved out to Oregon. Well, Michael flew back to Utah to defend his thesis on June 12th and it was a success. He just finished a few of his final edits and will officially graduate in August - He's just about DONE!! We are all so happy for him and I couldn't be a happier wife! So so proud!
I'm now two weeks away from the due date of our little baby boy who is due Friday July 3rd. We can't wait to meet him and are doing our best to prepare for this precious spirit to enter our lives. He is an active little guy and has made mommy's feet swell like crazy but the doctors aren't too worried about the swelling, I just have to keep my feet up as much as possible. :) That means Netflix on the couch every night!!
We also just bought a house in the area. It's a beautiful one story 3 bedroom 2 bath house and will be perfect for our little family. Everything is going smoothly and the close date is scheduled for July 15th! We're grateful for my parents' kindness to let us stay with them for a few months while we've searched for houses. That was an adventure! The housing market has been crazy with low inventory everywhere. We would go into a showing and have to put an offer on the house before we left if we wanted a chance in this sellers market. After several showings and 3 offers on 3 different houses falling through, our offer on this house was accepted!! I guess the fourth time is a charm. It has been really fun spending time with my mom while Michael is at work - I've always had a friend to go on walks with, run errands, and watch Netflix (Chuck). Thanks mom!
A lot has been happening with this Chamberlain family. I thought I would start this blog (mainly for me) to keep a record and record my thoughts and feelings as we begin this exciting new life post college graduation! I love to take pictures and I often write a lot so maybe this blog will be a good thing for me. Well here's to the first post - cheers!
